So these are the very last of the proposed covers for the Maressey songs which I put together. I still like the idea of having the covers created whether the songs happen or likely may not. The first 2 are adaptions from originals (I did some editing to create) and all of these I’m in the process of checking if its ok to get permission. Wish me luck….

#artwork #maressey #maressey art #My Little PonyOk at some point I needed to think about what the Maressey album would look like and would it be just ONE? While the themes often change each week on the new release I was hoping we’d get to the character arcs where songs start telling stories of several ships, with each song telling a different chapter of that storyline over its course. The best place for this to happen is with the album releases so each album has a theme. Therefore I’ve proposed collecting the songs in 4 themed albums, with one for Rarijack, Flutterdash, Twiluna, and one a general bronies topics theme. Four just works for the amount of character themes involved and the progress so far on each. .
The number indicates song progress. 5 is a completed song, 4 has an instrumental and a vocal with it in the mixing stage. 3’s often have a far along instrumental but are needing a vocal or further instrument work. 2’s or lower are very much a wip instrumental draft or perhaps have nothing yet if lower. Any song that is crossed out could have been part of the album if someone took charge and made the song but is otherwise not likely going to be attempted to make it just due to time constraints. They are non essential to album completion so we are likely skipping them. Can’t make every Maressey song into a reality.
Second Album (Flutterdash includes Scootaloo + Discord) 9 songs
Third Album (Twiluna Theme, Includes small Pinkie Pie arc, Celestia, and Trixie) 9 songs. Twiluna arc is needing the most attention but could be rescued quickly with vocalist help on Luna and Twi’s parts.
Fourth Album (The Brony Album). This one is mainly about the fandom and from our pov. Likely may include some pony songs dealing with background characters that don’t fit well in the other 3 mane 6 album concepts. 10 songs

The humbling position of having to submit your work to an anonymous panel who is flooded with a multitude of submissions is a difficult thing. While we often blame the judges for our problems, we so rarely ask, have we as creators done enough to really merit any eventual success we ask for?

Once upon a time there was this nifty little project named Maressey. It got out 2 underground cool indie rock pony inspired tribute albums but promised one or two more. After a few weeks of listening to old wip tracks and with a promise of some summer free time and a breath of self confidence I’d love to see if we could complete the Twilogy. Technically there’s enough tracks for the initial thought of 4 albums but best to aim for a large third album if we can’t get to all of them!
A lot of tracks are done that need to be a part of this and those that aren’t have mostly completed instrumentals. But it would be a shame to have 70-80% of a third album done and just not complete it or release it. So rather then keep in retirement, I’d like to get ‘er DONE this summer! Calling out to all Maressey alumni and anyone else vocally interested and capable.

Scootaloo is infatuated with Rainbow Dash, wanting to spend every moment
with her idol. Rainbow Dash is bored of her bland relationship with
Fluttershy and appreciates the devout attention. The unbalanced and
unhealthy relationship is a hardship for the young pegasus. It’s clear
she cares so much more about Dash, but is not old enough, or ready, for a
companionship that she desperately wants (and is not getting).
